Jessica & Danny got in touch with me about photographing their Scottish wedding in September. They live abroad and were planning their big day over emails, skypes and phone calls.
I was delighted when they asked me to be their wedding photographer for their stunning Edinburgh venue and capture their special day and really looked forward to what they had planned. An elegant and intimate wedding in Edinburgh at two beautiful venues.
On the day, my expectations were exceeded with Jessica’s beautiful wedding dress from Pronovius and her gorgeous bouquet by Briar Rose florists. She chose blue wedding shoes which tied in really well with the blue bridesmaids’ dresses which were purchased in Oslo.
The ceremony music, performed by Pleyel String Quartet, was outstanding. Jessica & Danny’s relative also played exceptional music which was very sentimental to them. The ceremony was an interfaith one with one of the nicest celebrants I’ve met – Rev Peter Fairbrother.
After the ceremony, they proceeded outside with guests blowing bubbles at them. We did a confetti line up at Broxmouth Park after the group photo. Before making our way over to Broxmouth Park for the reception, we stopped off along the way to get some coastal views in the background of some photographs.
Once the speeches and meal had ended, we made our way over to the bridge at Broxmouth Park where I was lucky to capture a beautiful sunset at golden hour. Afterwards, the first dance began and led straight into a ceilidh – which was a lot of fun.
Thank you so much to the wonderful suppliers involved in Jessica & Danny’s day – including: Briar Rose, Pleyel String Quartet, InkPrint & Etsy, Noelle in Kalmar (Sweden), Høyer in Oslo, House of Henderson, Asteria Brida, My second shooter Loraine Ross Photography, and of course the lovely Emma Douglas from Timeless White wedding planning..
An even bigger thank you to Jessica & Danny for trusting me to capture your wedding memories for you. It couldn’t have been easy planning a wedding from abroad, but you smashed it!
