Love was in the air on a foggy May morning at Cairns Farm Estate – one of my very favourite barn wedding venues in West Lothian to photograph! Abbie and Tam’s dream wedding unfolded at this stunning venue, which provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. With a team of talented suppliers, the event turned into a magical celebration of love and unity. From the heartfelt ceremony to the energetic dance floor, this wedding was one to remember.
Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Cairns Farm Estate, Abbie and Tam’s wedding was surrounded by the beauty of nature. The venue itself was a sight to behold, with breathtaking views of the farm and the serene loch, creating a romantic ambiance that perfectly complemented the couple’s love story.
To enhance the bride’s natural beauty, the makeup artists Shannon Burt and Makeup by Becky worked their magic. Abbie looked absolutely radiant. Gemma at Lime Salon crafted the most exquisite hairstyles for the bridal party, adding an elegant touch to the overall look which really complimented Abbie’s wedding cape.
Flowers by Isla brought the venue to life with their stunning floral arrangements. From the delicate bouquets to the charming table centrepieces.
The Celebrant, Mo Ackroyd, conducted a heartfelt ceremony that had everyone holding back tears of joy. With a personalised touch, Mo captured the essence of Abbie and Tam’s love, making the moment truly memorable.
Katie’s Cakes Scotland created an exquisite wedding cake that not only looked like a piece of art but also tasted divine.
As the wedding photographer, capturing Abbie and Tam’s love story was a dream. The foggy weather added a touch of mystique to the photographs, creating an ethereal quality. Before the meal, the couple took some time for intimate photos. Later on, when the light softened and the rain subsided, more pictures were taken against the breathtaking backdrop of the farm and the loch.
A highlight of the afternoon was Abbie’s uncle’s toast to the haggis after the speeches. This traditional performance brought a touch of Scottish culture to the event and added a unique touch to the celebration.
The Pickled Piper also contributed to the magical atmosphere, playing traditional Scottish tunes that added a touch of cultural significance to the wedding day.
When the sun set and the evening took over, Gordy, the talented DJ, took the stage. With a fantastic playlist and infectious energy, he got everyone on the dance floor, making sure the party was lively and unforgettable. The couple and their guests danced the night away, celebrating love & new beginnings.
Abbie and Tam’s wedding at this most special of barn wedding venues in West Lothian was a day filled with love, joy, and unforgettable memories. With the support of their exceptional suppliers, family and friends – the couple’s vision became a reality. They had the wedding of their dreams! From the romantic foggy morning to the lively dance floor, every moment was a testament to their love and the beginning of their journey as a married couple.
