The Intro
Lindsay and Ian contacted me a few months before their session. They were planning a large trip to the UK for their 2nd wedding anniversary. One of the scottish venue’s they were staying at, was Crossbasket Castle. Their trip coincided with my trip as I was photographing a Scottish wedding the following day.
It poured with rain the whole day, and I was slightly concerned we wouldn’t be able to use Crossbasket Castle’s beautiful grounds to its full potential. Just as I arrived however, thanks to some law of attraction I think, it stopped raining for exactly 2 hours. Just as I left their session, it started to pour all over again. It was meant to be. We started our photography session at 6:30pm, and finished at 8:30pm, all around sunset in August.
From the photos below you’ll see Lindsay wore a beautiful floral crown. She organised this from abroad with a lovely Hyndland florist, Rose & Thyme. I was staying in Hyndland, so agreed to collect it on my way. It couldn’t have been planned more perfectly.
As we were enjoying the grounds, the sun surprised us with some gorgeous light which I managed to use for my favourite sunflares. Lindsay & Ian decided to do an outfit change too for some variety.
I absolutely adored Lindsay from her first message to me. I had such a fantastic time with her and Ian, and I love their photographs so much.
