Sophia and Andrew got married at Kinkell Byre, a modern barn in St Andrews with ocean views. It was a beautiful day and even the weather played ball!
The ceremony was a humanist service under beautiful lighting in the byre. During the ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was so meaningful. They decorated the area with sentimental artwork, which I loved.
Kinkell Byre is really peaceful and secluded, and all in all is one of the loveliest places to get married in St Andrews. The venue offers onsite parking so guests don’t have to walk – and there so many incredible backdrops that are perfect for photos.
The couple had table tennis in the afternoon, and a photobooth in the evening. The little personal touches kept everyone entertained and mingling. For dinner they had a beautiful meal prepared by Gourlay Events, and the first dance involved the wedding party getting on the dancefloor to get the dancing going. They finished off the evening with a ceilidh.
Sophia wore a classic white dress and Andrew wore a kilt made from a gorgeous tartan – they looked really incredible. The bridesmaids all wore beautiful dresses in deep winter colours.
The couple got in touch with me last year when they were searching for a St Andrews Wedding Photographer, and their enquiry was so personal. They wanted a relaxed photographer, and I loved that they seemed so much fun. Sophia and Andrew got in touch after the big day to say:
“Choosing Christine as our wedding photographer was the best decision! We don’t really like to get our picture taken but she made it feel fun and relaxed. The photos are so beautiful and we love the natural feel of them. Christine made everyone feel at ease and you could tell that she was so experienced. We will treasure these photos forever and we can’t recommend her enough!“
